Effective vegetation management solutions often involve addressing invasive plant species within a vegetation control program. Non-native, invasive pests and plants can cause substantial damage to native ecosystems. E-Qwest Consulting collaborates with landowners and land managers to combat invasive plants and other vegetative species. We assist in developing invasive species management plans using a proactive integrated approach within an Integrated Pest Management Plan (IPMP), which can be both preventative and reduce treatments and monitoring to meet our clients' goals.
Meet The Team
Our team at E-Qwest Consulting comprises seasoned Integrated Pest Management Consultants with over 50 years of collective experience in the field. Our expertise encompasses Integrated Pest Management Plan development, vegetation field monitoring, mapping, vegetation health assessments, operation, and contract reviews, and fostering relationships with indigenous communities. We specialize in industrial, forestry, and commercial applications.

Our IPM consultants can guide you in finding the right solution for the most cost-effective treatment through a diverse range of services. This includes the development of the IPMP, surveys and assessments, monitoring control plans involving herbicide applications, mechanical cutting, and a continued maintenance program. The E-Qwest team are dedicated to excellence in the development of IPM programs registered under the BC Integrated Pest Management Act & Regulation (IPMR). These comprehensive 5-year plans strategically address invasive plant species and undesirable vegetation on various terrains, including rights-of-way, electrical and gas facilities, forestry cut-blocks, telecommunications, and earth dams, utilizing IPM principles on both crown and private lands in British Columbia.

Managing vegetation in natural areas, urban and residential settings, along transportation and utility rights-of-way, and in forestry can present numerous challenges. Implementing a proactive integrated vegetation management program for herbaceous and woody vegetative species is crucial to achieving budget and compliance goals, overcoming financial, safety, and environmental obstacles.

Our goal is to assist you in developing and implementing an effective vegetation management program that utilizes targeted vegetation control applications to manage problem plant species while preserving the health of the surrounding natural areas.
